Management Committee

pic_to_go_with_loose_parts_article_300PATH has a dedicated Management Committee of six volunteer members with a range of skills and expertise. The committee meets five times a year and offers ongoing support between meetings, often at very short notice. We are very grateful for their time, support and commitment.

Chair - Tania Shaikh is one of the founder members of PATH and has been involved with the organisation since 2001. Until recently Tania managed one of our member organisations, the Attlee Youth and Community Centre, based in Tower Hamlets. Tania now works in the neighbouring East London borough of Newham at Community Links.

Vice Chair - Simon Roach has been on the committee since 2006. Simon got involved in his previous role as Children's Services Manager at the Barnardos run Spark Centre in Tower Hamlets, a PATH member organisation. Simon now works centrally for Barnardos on a national project.

Treasurer - Duwan Farquharson has been the Treasurer since 2004. Duwan currently works in the London borough of Haringey as Business Manager at Broadwater Farm Primary School and Children Centre.

Sharon Adams has been a committee member since 2004, taking the lead role in human resources. Until recently, Sharon worked for Tower Hamlets Early Years but has now moved out of London. Sharon frequently commutes to spend time in Tower Hamlets and continues to support PATH.

Cllr. Ahmed Omer has been on the committtee since 2004 and manages East London Somali Welfare. Ahmed is both a Bow East councillor and the deputy mayor of Tower Hamlets.

Margaret Tracey is our most recent committee member, joining us in November 2007. Margaret is Children's Service Director at Mudchute Park and Farm in the Isle of Dogs, also a PATH member organisation.
